Company Earnings

Most public companies report earnings four times a year.  Investors will look into an earnings report to gauge the companies well being.  In an earnings report, you will likely find Quarterly Highlights, Revenue, Income, and Earnings Per Share ( EPS ) achieved during the last three months.  Occassionally, companies will issue Earnings Guidance for the next quarter and/or fiscal year and beyond.  Google is one company that doesn't give forward Earnings Guidance but does give other hints for the future like Tax Rates.
